Professor Suárez-Orozco and his wife Carola Suárez-Orozco have supported Pope Francis’s Global Compact on Education as editors of a new book, Education: A Global Compact for a Time of Crisis, which convenes scholars and practitioners to offer incisive essays on the global state of education.

He writes on the intersection of forced migration, climate change, and education. Projects include the Bending the Curve: Climate Solutions initiative at the University of California and the book Humanitarianism and Mass Migration: Confronting the World Crisis.

Children and Youth After Covid: Meeting the Global Challenge is an ongoing international effort to put children and youth at the center of the Covid recovery discourse.
