The 13th Americas Regional Meeting in 2024 will be organised online in two stages from 4 to 6 June and from 24 to 26 September 2024. The meetings will be co-hosted by three RCEs, RCE Cuenca del Plata (Argentina), RCE Salisbury (USA) and RCE Curitiba-Parana (Brazil), under the theme ‘Building a stronger RCE Americas Network towards ESD for 2030 and the Roadmap for the RCE Community’.
The regional meetings aim to address and develop the strategic alignment of the Americas RCE Network toward Education for Sustainable Development: Towards achieving the SDGs (ESD for 2030) by fostering the connection and synergies among RCEs.
The first regional meeting in June will focus on sharing updates to facilitate the collaboration among RCEs in the Americas region. The second meeting in September will aim to discuss the future strategy, planning and the governance of RCE network in the region. The respective meetings will consist of three days, with approximately three hours of presentations, discussions, and collaborative activities per day.
It is notable that, the regional meetings will seek to overcome the language barrier by incorporating both English and Spanish languages to facilitate communication within the Americas region.
This year’s Americas Regional Meeting represents the collective efforts of three RCEs in the Northern and the Southern Hemispheres of Americas region.
