The Global Engagement & Empowerment Forum (GEEF), hosted by Yonsei University will be held from February 10th to 11th of 2022 under the theme of “REMEMBER Our Common Future” to examine the progress of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and facilitate discourse on the future directions of SDGs in the post COVID-19 era. In 1987, the Our Common Future Report (a.k.a. Brundtland Report) was published under the former Prime Minister of Norway, Gro Harlem Brundtland’s leadership. The concept of Sustainable Development (SD) aims to address current needs without compromising future generations' resources and abilities. Through special conversations among historical figures of SDGs and Honorary Chair of IGEE, Ban Ki-moon (the 8th Secretary-General of the UN), Yonsei University, as a cornerstone of SDGs, explore effective ways of achieving the SDGs and re-examine our common future by interacting with the next generations.
