Narrating Local Stories through the Lens of the SDGs

Through the summer program of the Center for Sustainable Development and its partners at Mission 4.7, offered in partnership with ArcGIS StoryMaps, Arizona State University, Bluebells International School, ESRI, SDGs Today, and World-Wide Teach-In, Eco Ambassadors created StoryMaps to tell local sustainability stories while developing mapping, data, and communication skills.

This ICSD side event will showcase the highlights of the summer program and share some of the core educational elements of the climate and sustainability storytelling using StoryMaps, creative writing skills, SDG-based lesson planning and educational tools that facilitate telling a compelling climate and sustainability story from diverse local perspectives, and all speaking to sustainable development and SDGs.
