Opening Doors for Women and Girls using the ECHO Model

ECHO is a method of knowledge sharing that allows easy access to information about best practices in health, education, and civics. Inspired by the way clinicians learn from medical rounds, participants engage in a virtual community with their peers, sharing knowledge while learning from experts and from each other.

In ECHO sessions, the participation of women is twice that of men.

This virtual community of practice addresses critical topics like climate change, oncology, maternal and reproductive health, education and women’s leadership, to name just a few. Being part of this community improves professional capacity by addressing gender equity in male-centric training environments.

Come learn more how Project ECHO is being used to leverage gender equity issues around the globe, with programs around issues of health, education and civics.
