Roundtable on research and global learning futures

On Monday 14 February, 9-11am (MST), join a roundtable event organized by Arizona State University's Mary Lou Fulton Teachers College (MLFTC) to discuss UNESCO's report Reimagining our futures together: a new social contract for education. Entitled "How can research contribute to shaping global learning futures?", this online event will explore how education research could contribute to rebuilding our relationships with each other, the planet and technology.

Moderating the discussion will be Iveta Silova, Professor and Associate Dean of Global Engagement at MLFTC. Panelists include:

  • Inès Dussel, Professor and Researcher, Department of Educational Research, CINVESTAV, Mexico City, Mexico

  • David Edwards, Secretary General, Education International

  • Noah W. Sobe, Senior Project Officer, UNESCO

  • Peter R. Desouza, Professor, Centre for the Study of Developing Societies, New Delhi, India

The event is jointly organized by MLFTC’s Office of Global Engagement and
Learning Futures Initiative, and cosponsored with ASU’s University Design
Institute
 and Global Futures Lab.
