WorldSkills Conference 2024 will take place between 11 to 12 September 2024 in Lyon, France, during the 47th WorldSkills Competition. The global skills community is invited to attend what promises to be a game-changing event.
Entitled “Moving TVET to the top of the global agenda”, WorldSkills Conference 2024 will use the two days to shift the international perception of skills and reinforce the value of Technical and Vocational Education and Training to human and economic development.
The Conference will be hosted at the impressive Eurexpo Lyon alongside WorldSkills Lyon 2024 giving visitors a chance to access both high-level discussions and thought leadership around skills, as well as an opportunity to see skills excellence in action at the Competition.
WorldSkills Conference 2024 will hold the space for urgent and essential discussions around topics such as excellence in TVET, skills for fragile economies, the gender gap, green skills, AI, and digitalization. High-level speakers and panel members include representatives from the African Union, European Commission, International Labor Organisation, OECD, and World Bank, and as well as guests from global business and industry organizations.
The Conference will give skills leaders from around the world a chance to join a truly global conversation about the future of TVET. The Conference precedes the United Nations Summit of the Future, which takes place just days after WorldSkills Lyon 2024. It also represents a vital opportunity to influence the Post-2030 agenda and ensure TVET is recognized as critical for sustainable development.
