Humanity is grappling with “wicked problems”, including climate change and biodiversity loss, rising violent extremism, mental health challenges, and an absence of emotional resilience. There is a general understanding that our present education systems based on the principles of meritocracy and knowledge acquisition are insufficient for countering these challenges and for achieving human flourishing.
UNESCO MGIEP has been working toward the mandate of transforming education for the past 10 years and is organizing a four-day event marking its decennial anniversary to Reflect, Learn and Innovate for the future. This event will focus on what education for human flourishing for the future might look like and what the challenges and opportunities are. UNESCO MGIEP and its partners will examine how to transition from our present education systems to achieve our vision of education for human flourishing. Register now for our expert keynote addresses, panel discussions, and facilitated workshops to hear the latest trends in the education field and share this journey.
