Workshop description: Welcome to a workshop based on a methodology where teachers plan a project where students interact with the nearby society, develops innovative solutions to authentic challenges regarding sustainability and climate issues and communicate with stakeholders and decision makers. All with the aim of increasing the students action competence and to give them an opportunity to make their voice heard in democratic processes. The objective is to give inspiration and tools on how you can design teaching about climate issues in a student participatory way, using education for sustainable development as an approach.

Susie Broquist Lundegård, senior adviser/programme coordinator in Education for Sustainable Development at World Wide Fund for Nature, WWF, Sweden and member of WWF’s Global Education Leadership Group. She has a background as teacher, outdoor educator, principal and consultant within the area of ESD and outdoor education. She holds a primary teacher's degree and a degree of Master in outdoor pedagogy/outdoor education.
Zipporah Musyoki-Webola is an environment and sustainability expert with over 25 years’ experience in the field of environment and conservation. She has served in different capacities in several organizations. She is currently the Regional ESD Programme Coordinator for WWF - Africa Region. She is also serving as a member of WWF’s Global Education Leadership Group. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree and a Master of Science degree in Education for Sustainability.
