Second Annual SDGs in Post-Secondary Education Symposium

Technical and Vocational Education and Training in higher education (TVET) brings together an increasing number of students worldwide; therefore, the commitment of TVET institutions to delivering pertinent, modern, and relevant programs goes hand in hand with integrating the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) outlined by the UN in 2015 and with an expected completion date by 2030.

Sharing this challenge with other institutions, reviewing how they are working and learning about the projects and innovations that are being carried out to achieve the SDGs, are essential for further development of TVET. In this context, the Affinity Group - created under the umbrella of the World Federation of Colleges and Polytechnics -, made up of INACAP, Colleges and Institutes Canada (CICan), UNESCO-UNEVOC International Center for TVET (Germany), Technical and Further Education New South Wales (TAFE NSW; Australia), Kenya Association of Technical Training Institutes (KATTI) and ENAC (Chile) generates this instance of conversation and analysis, with the participation of different and important national and international actors, who will present their experiences regarding the importance and impact of the integration of the SDGs at curricular and co- curricular level, in faculty training, in student projects and at the level of the institutional project. The foregoing, in order to support the 2030 Agenda of the United Nations (UN), which requires the constant collaboration of all.
