Skills for Youth: Investing in the human capital of Latin America and the Caribbean

  • IDB Headquarters Washington, DC USA (map)

The LAC region faces significant challenge on how to develop its human capital and prepare new generations to thrive in an increasingly dynamic world. Latin America and the Caribbean needs quality education to enable youth to acquire foundational and transversal skills in line with the demands of today's world. A modern labor market needs young people who can navigate the digital world, become productive actors who promote innovation, and be agents of change and responsible with respect to the environment in their community.

The IDB joins the global celebration of International Day of Education. Join us on January 24, 2023 at the event "Skills for Youth. Investing in the human capital of Latin America and the Caribbean," organized by the Inter-American Development Bank with the support of JP Morgan.

It will be a hybrid event, in IDB Headquarters in Washington, DC, where educational leaders and recognized experts from the public and private sectors will share practical knowledge and solutions to address skills gaps and transforming education in the region.
