The 14th Annual Teacher Education for Equity and Sustainability network conference will be held on September 27, 2024. More information to come.
TEESNet deliberately cuts across sectors, including educators, practitioners and students in universities, schools and NGOs/CSOs, as well as research and policy makers. Our conference programme therefore brings together an inspiring combination of research and practice insights relevant to those engaged in all forms of education.
TEESNet (Teacher Education for Equity and Sustainability Network) aims to develop a UK wide community of practice in Education for Sustainable Development and Global Citizenship within teacher education in higher education and schools, that shares research and practice to develop new understanding across the sector in the UK and beyond.
TEESNet evolved from a collaboration between World Wide Fund for Nature UK, Oxfam and teacher educators. Originally based at the Centre for Cross Curricular Initiatives at London South Bank University, the management of TEESNet transferred to Liverpool Hope University in 2014 where it is led through a partnership between Liverpool Hope University and Liverpool World Centre.
As a UK wide network of teacher educators, it has over 300 members and representation from across the from the four UK nations, including university and school based teacher education, teachers, NGOs and Development Education Centres (DECs) and organisations such as the Higher Education Academy (HEA) and University Council for the Education of Teachers (UCET).
