Gender equality and social inclusion are essential for building more peaceful, just and sustainable societies. They affect everything, from the chances we get in school or at work to the way we’re treated and respected. Join us in challenging bias and breaking down barriers for a special UN at Your Doorstep session on Gender Equality & Social Inclusion, featuring
Monika Froehler, CEO of the Ban Ki-moon Centre for Global Citizens, and
Jerry Azilinon, Gender Equality Youth Activist and #HeForShe Champion from Benin.
This event takes place along the sidelines of the ECOSOC Youth Forum and is organized in collaboration with the Foundation for Environmental Education’s Young Reporters, UNESCO’s SDG 4 Youth & Student Network and Compass Education.
Moderated by young people, this interactive dialogue will focus on two overarching questions:
What are the biggest barriers to gender equality and social inclusion today, and how can different sectors – governments, businesses, and communities – work together to break them down?
How does gender inequality show up differently across cultures and regions, and what can we learn from each other to create more inclusive societies, especially when it comes to youth-driven action?
Through live polling, interactive Q&As, and collaborative action brainstorming, participants will actively shape the conversation and identify concrete steps to drive change within their own communities.

Please note that the live dialogue will be recorded and may be published or shared publicly to provide access to those who are unable to participate live. By attending, you consent to the recording and its future use for educational and informational purposes.
