Workshop: Practice Global Citizenship Education Outside of School

The UNESCO Asia-Pacific Education Center, together with the National Lifelong Education Promotion Agency and Incheon Yeonsu-gu, is holding a workshop to enhance the global citizenship education practice capacity of domestic lifelong education practitioners. The workshop is open to activists and educators who practice global citizenship education outside of school in educational institutions and local groups.

2022 Global Citizenship Education Workshop for Lifelong Education Practitioners: 'Practice Global Citizenship Education Outside of School'

The prerequisite online course will provide a basic understanding of the integration of global citizenship education and lifelong education. The workshop will feature special lectures by experts on global citizenship education issues at home and abroad, learning materials (workbooks , documentaries, etc.), discussions on the practice and application of global citizenship education, and the establishment and sharing of action plans.

Participants who participate in 100% of the on- site workshop will receive a certificate of completion, a global citizenship education workbook set, and a paid membership for the SIMA Academy documentary.

Method: Two-day field workshops are held only for those who have completed the pre-online course.

Date and Time: 22 September 2022 (Thu) - 23 (Fri) 10:00 - 17:00

Venue: UNESCO Center for Asia-Pacific Education, Guro-dong, Seoul, South Korea

Textbooks and lunch provided. No accommodation or transportation support.

Apply:

  1. Complete the free online course 'Global Citizenship Education for Lifelong Learning Practitioners' on the GCED Online Campus in advance (required). It is a self-study class that should take about 2 hours to complete. A certificate of completion is required when applying for the on-site workshop.

  2. Apply through online by September 14 , 2022.

  3. Selected participants will be informed by September 16 , 2022, via email.
